2020 JAM:

Team Test Truck

General Graphic 2.jpg

Beginning Thursday, May 7, Roseland Community Hospital, in partnership with Columbia College Chicago and Exclusive PR will host a virtual fundraiser that will raise awareness and funds for Roseland’s COVID-19 testing truck. The fundraiser - Team Test Truck - will be organized by students from Columbia’s Special Events and Promotions class led by long-time events professor Jane Canepa, herself a prominent non-profit special events organizer.

The fundraiser’s key message will be the importance of health care accessibility - in particular, why it’s crucial that this testing truck is able to provide this essential service to members of the community who aren’t able to get to Roseland’s drive up testing site on the South Side. The event’s hashtag is #TeamTestTruck.

All proceeds from this fundraiser will exclusively go towards the costs associated with the testing truck which in the last few weeks has gone to health care facilities and nursing homes all over the Chicagoland area, not just the South Side. The costs include upkeep, supplies, staff, testing gear, and other logistical necessities.

Performances by Jamel Lewis, Phil Circle, Dennis Reifsteck, Kosha Dillz, and more!

We want to thank everyone for your support in our Team Test Truck fundraiser. With your help, our videos garnered over 12,000 views and we raised over $1,000 for Roseland Community Hospital. Your efforts during these unprecedented times did not go unnoticed, and we are very grateful.

While we are no longer raising donations for Team Test Truck, we still will be using this platform as a place to curate live streams, videos, and other content. We are pivoting to focus more on supporting our entertainers and educators, as well as other members of our community, while continuing to spread positivity, educate, and entertain.

We are so excited for what is to come, and we hope that you all stay tuned and continue to show your support!
